We are an autonomous Baptist church in Marshall, Michigan, united by our faith and fellowship in the gospel.. Though autonomous, we consider it good and God-glorifying to cooperate with other gospel churches for fellowship, support, accountability, home and foreign missions, and other worthy causes.
We exist to spread the fame of Jesus Christ to all nations by leading his people to embrace, embody, and extend the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Outreach. Local churches do not exist to serve themselves. They exist to bring spiritual renewal to lives, families, communities, and nations, to the glory of Christ. At Grace, we are reaching out every week with the gospel and good deeds. We want people to know that the gospel is the solution to our most pressing problems, and that gospel-shaped people are the change agents the world needs!
Education. Following the example of the apostles, we seek to impart the whole counsel of God to Christ's people. To accomplish this great goal, we maintain a variety of classes, retreats, and mentoring opportunities to fill you with the knowledge of God, that you might become a fully matured Christian disciple.
Fellowship. Christ never intended for his followers to be like islands. His plan for them was to share their lives, their joys, their hopes, their pains, and their struggles with one another. He wanted their lives to overlap together in community, talking to one another, praying for one another, studying his words together, and working alongside one another in ministry. This is what fellowship is all about, and at Grace we fill our calendar with fellowship opportunities--from our Community Groups to Grace Cafe.
Worship. We were made to worship--to glorify God with our hearts, hands, and voices. At Grace, we encourage every person to cultivate a lifestyle of worship that permeates home, work, recreation, and service. As a church, we also gather together every Sunday to praise our God together through preaching, prayer, singing, Scripture readings, and more.
Service. When God calls a person, He calls that person to serve! For Christians, service (or ministry) is about extending the grace of God to others in concrete ways. At Grace, it is our goal to see every member involved in ministry, working both inside and outside the walls of our own church. The best way to get involved in ministry at Grace Baptist Church is through participation in a Ministry Team, a Community Group, or both!
