Discipling the next generation

​AWANA serves children from 3 years old to 6th grade. Its name comes from 1 Tim 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, A Worker who has no Need to be Ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

To ensure a robust, quality program, we partner with several like-minded local churches to make this ministry a reality. The result is an AWANA program that is well-staffed, well-funded, and well-attended. It includes about 100 children, 40 trained adult leaders, and 15 teen helpers. Every gathering is action-packed with a large group Bible lesson, small group mentoring, game times, and theme nights. 

Because our program is a joint venture of like-minded churches, our AWANA program meets on the campus of South Side Bible Church in Battle Creek, which has ample space for the large number of participants.
