Brandon James Crawford became the lead pastor of Grace Baptist Church in 2010. He holds a Master of Divinity from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary (Allen Park, MI), a Master of Theology from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (Grand Rapids, MI), and is currently working on a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Puritan Seminary.
As pastor, Brandon is responsible for weekly preaching and teaching, administering the ordinances of baptism & communion, providing counsel to individuals and families, visiting the sick, overseeing the various ministries of Grace Baptist Church, representing Christ and our church in the community, and ensuring that our church is successfully implementing its mission and vision.
In addition to his local church responsibilities, Pastor Brandon also serves as Moderator of our regional association of churches and a Council of Sixteen member in our state association. He is also a prolific writer who regularly contributes to books, academic journals, and popular magazines--mostly related to American religious history. He is the Assistant Director of the Jonathan Edwards Center--Midwest and also a chaplain for Oaklawn Hospice.
Pastor Brandon’s wife, Melanie, is originally from upstate New York. She is a graduate of Wayne County Community College, and works part-time at Marshall District Library. She is also very active in the ministry of Grace Baptist Church. She and Brandon were married in 2006 and they have two children--Daniel and Sarah.
