Brandon James Crawford has been the lead pastor of Grace Baptist Church since 2010. He holds a Master of Divinity from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary (Allen Park, MI), a Master of Theology from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (Grand Rapids, MI), and is currently working on a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Puritan.
As pastor, Brandon is responsible for weekly preaching and teaching, administering the ordinances of baptism & communion, providing counsel to individuals and families, visiting the sick, overseeing the various ministries of Grace Church, representing the church in the community, and ensuring that the church is successfully implementing its mission and vision.
In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Brandon also serves as Moderator of our regional association and a Council of Sixteen member in our state association of churches. He has also written and contributed to a number of books and articles, mainly about the 18th Century New England minister, Jonathan Edwards. He is the Assistant Director of the Jonathan Edwards Center--Midwest and a chaplain for Oaklawn Hospice.
Pastor Brandon’s wife, Melanie, is originally from upstate New York. She is a graduate of Wayne County Community College, and works part-time at Marshall District Library. She is also very involved in the ministry of Grace Baptist Church. She and Brandon were married in 2006 and they have two children--Daniel and Sarah.
