We are a dynamic and active Christian community in Marshall, Michigan, united by our faith and fellowship in the gospel. Christ is our life. Scripture is our foundation. Worship is our lifestyle. Witness is our calling.
Our mission is to glorify God by reaching new people with the gospel of Christ and helping believers grow in their likeness to him.
Our vision is to see lives reborn throughout the Greater Marshall area through the gospel of Christ, to welcome each one into our church, and then to work together to see new churches planted in our state, across the country, and around the world,
We will grow larger through outreach. We are reaching out every week with the gospel and good deeds, believing that God will use our efforts to draw many people to himself. We want people to know that the gospel is the solution to our most pressing problems, that gospel-shaped people are the change agents the world needs, and that living a gospel-centered life is the only path to everlasting joy.
We will grow deeper through discipleship. Like the apostles before us, we seek to impart the whole counsel of God to as many people as we can, so as many as possible might have the opportunity to grow into full Christian maturity. To accomplish our goal, we maintain a variety of classes, retreats, counseling, mentoring, and small group opportunities throughout the year.
We will grow closer through fellowship. Christ never intended for his followers to be like islands. His plan was for them to share their lives, their joys, their hopes, their pains, and their struggles with one another. He wanted their lives to overlap together in community, talking to one another, praying for one another, studying his Word with one another, and working alongside one another in ministry. This is what fellowship is all about, and at Grace we offer many fellowship opportunities--from Community Groups to Grace Café.
We will grow our affections through worship. We were made to worship--to glorify God with our hearts and voices. At Grace, we encourage every person to cultivate a lifestyle of worship that permeates home, work, recreation, and ministry. As a church, we also gather every Sunday morning to worship God together through congregational singing, prayers, Scripture readings, Scripture-based sermons and more in a worship event that is both serious and celebratory.
We will grow our influence through multiplication. We are passionate about spreading the fame of Jesus' name in our city, across the country, and around the world. We hold annual training seminars for pastors in south-central Michigan so they can become better communicators of God's Word. We send and support American church planters, international missionaries, and overseas Bible teachers and translators. We pray fervently for the advancement of the gospel around the world. We will not rest until "the earth is filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea."
To successfully fulfill our mission and vision while remaining true to our biblical values, we need accountability and support from many like-minded churches. Furthermore, we believe that God is pleased when gospel-centered churches work together to advance the biblical mission. To these ends, we maintain fellowship with a number of like-minded ministries in our state, across the country, and around the world.
